Roles and Responsibilities
Divisional Roles: Divisions nationally are responsible for ensuring a focus on the GPNLG Agenda on issues of national importance. Divisions are thus responsible for:
- Raising issues for debate and discussion by the GPNLG that affect the network nationally;
- Reading and commenting on agendas and communiqués of the
- GPNLG, including ideas and solutions to national issues;
- Ensuring GPNLG members receive current advice and feedback; and
- Disseminating outcomes via locally appropriate communications relevant stakeholders, such as Board/ general practice.

The GPNLG members from SBOs are responsible for:
- Consulting and liaising with their members and stakeholders (eg Divisions of General Practice and local department of health personnel);
- Appropriately circulating meeting papers and resources to their constituents;
- Representing the views of their constituents; and,
Providing feedback regarding meeting outcomes and decisions to their members.
AGPN is responsible for bringing a national perspective to the GPNLG and will have the primary responsibility for relationships with the Australian Government in areas of national policy and issues that effect the Divisional Network as a whole.
